Eastern Travels

This is one of the few instrumentals that I dared to put together. It took me quite a while to play the parts into my keyboard workstation Ensonique TS 10. I spent around two months sifting through the hundreds of instrument sounds available to play this Bollywood type production. When I found the instruments like Sitar, string sections and eastern percussion I then played each part as it would have been played ignoring my personal routes, I went the opposite way. Very different to what I have learned.

I put a lot of time and effort in trying to get the parts right so this is a very personal recording to me. The images in my mind while writing and recording this was of all of the UK wars and military actions in the middle east.
